on site art projects

Mission

on site is a non-profit art organisation working internationally for the promotion of young contemporary art. Through the realization of national and international exhibitions and projects we aim to encourage international exchange and mobility as well as to support young artists to present themselves also beyond their national borders. on site brings contemporary art to new places, to sites that are not primarily known for its art scene and are outside the usual art hubs.

Organisation and structure

on site is a non-profit Kunstverein for the promotion and interconnection of young international people working in the arts. Based in Vienna, we are constantly looking for further exhibitions spaces and cooperation partners for our projects in Austria as well as abroad.

Founders

on site are Judith Stöckl and Giulia Tamiazzo. After a long collaboration at Kunstverein das weisse haus and Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna they founded on site in February 2014 to follow their own projects. Both worked for many years in important art institutions as well as in non-profit arts organizations in Austria as well as abroad.

Mag.a Judith Christina Valerie Stöckl, born 1983 in Vöcklabruck, lives and works in Vienna. Diploma in Art History and Cultural Sciences at the University of Vienna. After working as executive assistant at Kunstverein das weisse haus in Vienna (2008–2011), she was curatorial assistant for Jasper Sharp, Adjunct Curator for Modern and Contemporary Art at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (2011–2013). She worked as curatorial assistant for the Austrian Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013, under which she directed the research for the publication "Austria and the Venice Biennale 1895–2013". Project manager of the research project "Archive of Austria at the Venice Biennale" in cooperation with the Federal Chancellery of Austria and the University of Applied Arts Vienna (2013–2015)Board member of the Association of Austrian Art Historians and Editor in Chief of the journal "Kunstgeschichte aktuell" (2013–2015). Since May 2015 Franz West Privatstiftung, Vienna. Since February 2014 artistic director of on site.

Mag.a Giulia Elisa Tamiazzo MA, born 1980 in Florence (Italy), lives and works in Vienna.
Diploma in Business Administration and Social Sciences at University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna and Master of Arts in Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. 2006–2007 worked at Guggenheim Museum New York and Venice in the Individual Development and Exhibitions Management Department as well as in the context of the 52nd Biennale di Venezia for the American contribution (Felix Gonzales Torres). From 2009–2011 she worked as executive assistant at the Kunstverein das weisse haus in Vienna as well as gallery assistant at Gallery Dana Charkasi (2010–2011). Assistant to the Creative Director at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna as well as assistant of Jasper Sharp a in his capacity as Adjunct Curator for Modern and Contemporary Art at the Kunsthistorische Museum in Vienna (2011–2014). Since February 2014 artistic director of on site.
